During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we are proud of Megan Coleman, a lab team member at Southdale OB Gyn, for her volunteer work with Metavivor. Metavivor is an organization dedicated to support women and men with Stage 4 breast cancer. They are the sole US organization dedicated to raising public awareness and research specific to Stage 4 breast cancer. Megan’s involvement was spurred by her mother’s (Marsha Coleman) diagnosis of Stage 4 breast cancer in February of 2010. Megan, as well as her two older sisters, were dedicated caregivers to their mother. Marsha’s battle with Stage 4 breast cancer ended in June of 2013 at the age of 51.
