COVID-19 is an invisible virus and highly contagious before symptoms appear. Unknown community transmission is greatest among 18 to 35-year-olds, which represent many of our patients. To avoid unknown transmission, we are elevating our COVID response plan and safety procedures.

1. In-office visits with limited guests

Just as other healthcare facilities are doing, our office visits will be limited to 1 guest per patient. Guests will be screened with our COVID-19 questionnaire on arrival. We encourage that our patients not bring their children along to their visit.

2. Enhanced screening procedures.

When you check-in for your appointment we will ask you and your visitor to complete and sign a COVID-19 screening form, which will ask you to confirm:

You are free of COVID-related symptoms such as a fever of 100 or higher, new onset cough, or shortness of breath.

You have not tested positive or have a pending test for COVID.

No members of your household are experiencing COVID-related symptoms or waiting on a COVID test.

Have not had close contact with anyone in the last 14 days who has tested positive for COVID or is awaiting results of a COVID test.

We’ll also ask if you’ve had COVID-19 infection, vaccination and/or antibodies in the past.

3. More telehealth visits.

If you are not comfortable coming into the office, are under quarantine or self-isolation or cannot confirm all items in our screening procedures, we are happy to schedule a telehealth visit for your appointment.

As your healthcare providers, your health and wellbeing are our top concern! We have watched the spread of this pandemic since its discovery earlier this year. We continue to monitor professional medical updates and public health advisories. We encourage you to take care of yourself and protect your loved ones by:

  • Practicing social distancing
  • Getting tested if you believe you may have been in close contact or are experiencing any symptoms.
  • Wear a mask
  • Wash hands often
  • Get vaccinated when it’s your turn

To see all COVID-19 information, including updates, we have put together this COVID-10 awareness page.
