Southdale ObGyn is OPEN offering visits in person visits and via telehealth.  We are taking extra precautions at the clinic and hospitals to keep our patients and staff safe.

COVID-19 is a viral respiratory illness with symptoms ranging from a mild cold to severe illness. We are closely monitoring information and recommendations from the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and the Center for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC). As the cases of COVID-19 increase, it is more important than ever that we all do our part to slow the spread.  At Southdale ObGyn, we are continuously reviewing and updating our processes to slow the spread of COVID-19 including: social distancing universal face coverings for staff, patients & visitors visitor restrictions (exceptions for minors).

In recommendation from the CDC,  we are requiring our patients and guests to wear a face covering to your appointment to help protect other patients and our staff.  You can expect that our staff will be wearing face coverings during your visit to keep you safe, as well.

Stay Safe Minnesota

By staying home, Minnesotans successfully pushed out the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic and bought our state time to get ready to treat those who fall ill.  Beginning May 18th, Governor Tim Walz has lifted the shelter in place order and Minnesota will slowly shift from “Stay at home Minnesota” to “Stay Safe Minnesota”.

Postpartum & Breastfeeding Updates During Coronavirus “COVID-19”

Update from WHO 3/20/20: If someone who is breastfeeding becomes ill with COVID-19, it is important to continue breastfeeding! Pregnancy Updates During Coronavirus “COVID-19”

NOTICE FOR PREGNANT PATIENTS Even as we transition out of Minnesota’s stay at home order,  we continue to recommend pregnant patients strictly adhere to social distancing by staying home starting at 36 weeks gestation until your delivery. If you need a note for your employer to support this recommendation, please contact our office.

What is Coronavirus and What Can I Do To Prevent It?
