Biography/Personal Interests

Dr. Kathy Tweedy was born and raised in Edina, Minnesota. She received her undergraduate degree from DePauw University in Indiana. Dr. Tweedy then moved back to Minnesota where she earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Minnesota. Her OB/GYN residency training was also completed at the University of Minnesota. Notably, Dr. Tweedy was the Chief Resident while at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Tweedy enjoys all aspects of women’s health care. She provides excellent, comprehensive care for all obstetric and gynecologic patients. Dr. Tweedy especially likes the management of abnormal Pap smears as well as the care for high-risk obstetric patients. Her surgical interests include operative laparoscopy, vaginal surgery, and hysteroscopy.

Dr. Tweedy resides in Edina along with her husband Matt, a gynecologic oncologist. She enjoys travel, reading, running, and spending time with her husband and step-children.
