Biography/Personal Interests

Dr. Annelise Swigert was raised in St. Paul, Minnesota. She received her undergraduate degree in French Literature from Wellesley College in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Swigert then took some time to travel, spending a year as a translator in Luxemburg. She subsequently pursued her interest in medicine and earned her Doctor of Medicine from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. Her OB/GYN residency training was completed at the University of Minnesota. Notably, Dr. Swigert was the Chief Resident while at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Swigert enjoys all aspects of women’s health care. She provides excellent, comprehensive care for all obstetric and gynecologic patients. Dr. Swigert especially likes the management of abnormal Pap smears as well as the care for high-risk obstetric patients. She is a caring, outgoing, and communicative physician who enjoys the “continuity of care through pregnancy and beyond.” Dr. Swigert also performs varied gynecologic surgeries, specializing in operative laparoscopy.

Dr. Swigert resides in Edina, Minnesota along with her husband and children. She enjoys traveling, cooking, and going to the lake with her family. In addition, Dr. Swigert continues to practice and enjoy la langue francaise (French language).
