Biography/Personal Interests

Susan Halloran grew up in a military family and moved all over the United States until settling in Rochester, Minnesota. There she completed her education and raised three children. In addition to a business degree, Susan completed her RN degree and served as a Registered Nurse in Family Medicine, Surgery, Urology, Obstetrics and Gynecology. She then became certified as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner and joined Mayo Clinic in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, where she remained for 10 years. Susan joined Southdale OB/GYN in 2004 and has provided exceptional care for our patients since then.

Susan’s passion for women's health has been based on education as well as personal and clinical experiences. While enjoying all aspects of health care for women, she has special interest in adolescent gynecology, abnormal Pap smears, and perimenopause.

Susan is certified through American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (ASCCP) to perform the colposcopy procedure. She is also a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Association for Reproductive Health Professionals.
